Fatmir Besimi started the regular work of the latest top world technology for processing of metals – investment of the company “Rade Koncar – TEP”

The Minister of Economy Fatmir Besimi today started the regular work of the latest top world technology for processing of metals of the company “Rade Koncar – TEP”, that at the same time presents realization of domestic investment in total of 4 million Euros.

“Rade Koncar – TEP” presented the new investment in value of 750 000 Euros, realized through credit line from the European Investment Bank and the Macedonian Bank for support of the development. The funds of this credit line, as it was pointed during the start of work of the new machine for processing metal and non metal surfaces, are used for purchase of machines, storage system and environment protection, that is, heating of the hall. One of the machines is of Japanese production and is the 27-th of the kind in the world and first in the region. With it, the investments realized during the last four years in “Rade Koncar – TEP” present 4 million Euros.

The Minister of Economy Fatmir Besimi pointed that with this investment “Rade Koncar – TEP” becomes one of the factories with top technology. The investment will mean improvement of the competitiveness in search of new markets, as well as, stimulation for the other businessmen to invest in new technologies.

Besimi in his address emphasized: “I would like to emphasize the timing and the manner of realization of this significant domestic investment. In conditions when we cope with the challenges that come with the global economic crisis, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in cooperation with the business community created and adopted four anti-crisis packages with purpose of mitigation of the consequences of the world economic crisis and assistance to the business subjects to remain competitive on the global market. And while the first package (November 2008) consisted of 10 measures for facilitation of the economy in the value of 300 million Euros, the second (March 2009) meant investments in the strategic infrastructure projects in the amount of 8 billion Euros, in April 2009 was adopted the third package of 70 anti-crisis measures, among which also credit support of the enterprises through the Macedonian Bank for support of the development”.

“Rade Koncar – TEP” is the first user of the funds from the credit line of 100 million Euros of the European Investment Bank that the state took to assist the economy due to the crisis. Reminding about the continuous reform processes with purpose of improvement of the business climate, Minister Besimi stated that this company presents concrete sample of the effects from the anti-crisis measures implemented by the Government and for the need of continuous cooperation on the relation business community and the Government.
