The State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Labor, Mr. Junni Ademi, participated in the closing conference of the project "Strengthening the Internal Market" held on May 12 (Monday) at the Alexander Palace Hotel starting at 10:00, where Ms. Maria Kanelopulo, a representative of the European Delegation in Skopje, was also present. The event was attended by over 80 representatives of institutions main beneficiary of the IPA project (Ministry of Economy and Labor, State Market Inspectorate, State Inspectorate for Technical Inspection, MALMED, BM). In his speech, Mr. Jumni Ademi emphasized the exceptional importance of the readiness of National Institutions in the process of EU accession, where he stated among others: “The project's supported changes are fundamental to the process of being ready to join the EU. They are neither remote nor abstract. They are directly connected to the way we regulate our economy, protect our consumers, and interact with European markets. This shapes how institutions function, how businesses grow and how citizens experience consumer protection.
Through this assistance, we have taken important steps to align our legal framework with the EU acquis in areas such as the free movement of goods and services, company law, accounting and market surveillance. Perhaps more significantly, though, is that we have made investments in the people and institutions that will keep those reforms ongoing“.
