The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, today awarded financial resources to consumer organizations for the implementation of the Consumer Protection Program, the Program for Co-financing Projects for the Development and Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the program activities of business artisans networks, as well as the Program for Supporting the Competitiveness of the Processing Industry and Social Responsibility.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor, in accordance with the Public Call for Granting Funds for the Implementation of Programs (Projects) of Consumer Associations, has awarded financial resources to consumer organizations in various cities in the country. The awarded funds are for:
Consumer Organization of Ohrid: MKD350.000.00;
Consumer Organization of Bitola: MKD350.000.00;
Consumer Organization of Kocani: MKD319.500.00;
Consumer Organization of Shtip: MKD300.000.00;
Consumer Organization of Tetovo: MKD340.000.00;
Consumer Organization of Macedonia-Skopje (ZKM): MKD340.200.00.
Within the framework of the Program for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Competition of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, as well as for support of the development and promotion of entrepreneurship and competition of enterprises, the Ministry of Economy and Labor realizes co-financing of projects of foundations and associations related to non-financial support for business development and competition, for co-financing of projects of associations, foundations and chambers of artisans for the development and promotion of the artisans, etc. as well as co-financing of projects for craft activities.
For all three measures, co-financing of 70% of the project costs is envisaged, but not more than MKD350.000 per applicant, and after the implementation of the program, subsidies will be awarded for 26 projects with a total value of MKD6.132.240.
Within the framework of the Program for Supporting the Competitiveness of the Processing Industry and Social Responsibility, the Ministry of Economy and Labor is implementing a measure to reimburse part of the costs for accreditation of laboratories, it is envisaged to expand the scope of accreditation of existing laboratories for testing or procurement of equipment for laboratories for placing safe quality products on the market.
Within the framework of this measure, co-financing of costs of 50% of the amount not exceeding MKD400.000 for each applicant is envisaged. The estimated total value is MKD3.000.000. Beneficiaries of this scheme are 11 laboratories.
In the measure of compensation for part of the costs for maintaining and implementing acceptable social practices of business entities, the total value of the funds is MKD2.000.000, and the Ministry of Economy and Labor co-financed 8 companies.
Taking into account the needs of companies, the Ministry of Economy and Labor will continue to implement measures and activities aimed at improving the competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy and Labor. The list of beneficiaries is already available on the website of the Ministry.
