“North Macedonia offers excellent conditions for attracting foreign investments, both within the Free Economic Zones, where significant incentives are provided for foreign investors, and outside these zones. Our strategy is to achieve better economic development not only for the Republic of North Macedonia but for the entire region,” said the Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, at the business forum and meetings between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Türkiye, held today at the Hilton Hotel.
The business forum was also attended by the Minister of Trade of Türkiye, Ömer Bolat, who is on a one-day visit to North Macedonia, as well as companies from both Türkiye and North Macedonia.
Minister Durmishi emphasized that North Macedonia and Türkiye have excellent bilateral and trade cooperation, which has the potential to grow further in the coming period.
“Turkish investments are among the most numerous in the country, accounting for 38% of total foreign investments in North Macedonia, with approximately two billion Euros. The Government sees the business sector and investors as partners in supporting economic development.
Through open and continuous dialogue with the business community, we aim to build partnerships that deliver results. Under the Law on Financial Support for Investments, all companies operating in North Macedonia—both domestic and foreign investors—have equal conditions and opportunities to receive state support.
The concept of establishing Technological Industrial Development Zones has attracted more than 35 multinational manufacturing companies with global influence,” said Minister Durmishi, inviting Turkish companies to invest in the country and expand their investments, while assuring that the Government will provide the most favorable business climate for operations.
