The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, held meeting today with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of North West Macedonia (CCNWM), Mendi Qyra.
The meeting was attended by some of the members of the Management Board and representatives of the companies - members of the Chamber.
The purpose of the meeting was the first acquaintance of Minister Durmishi with the business entities that are members of this Chamber, as well as the presentation of the measures, instruments and activities foreseen in the Budget of the Ministry of Economy and Labor until the end of the year.
Minister Durmishi emphasized at the meeting that the main focus of the Ministry of Economy and Labor from now on will be close cooperation with the business sector through which clear policies will be created to support companies.
The Minister told the representatives from the Chamber of Commerce of North West Macedonia that the Government and the Ministry of Economy and Labor will support all initiatives coming from the Chambers of Commerce, initiatives that will mean improvement of the economic environment in the country, as well as improvement of living conditions of all citizens in North Macedonia, that is, added value in the quality of their life.
As Durmishi emphasized, the cooperation of the Ministry of Economy and Labor with the representatives of the Chambers will be constant in all stages of drafting laws, programs, strategic documents, etc.
This cooperation includes taking into account and incorporating their suggestions, proposals and indications when drafting all documents and legal acts.
Minister Durmishi expressed hope and certainty that in the future there will be intensive cooperation with the business community, because business and the economy are the most important drivers in the functioning of a state.
In the discussion with the representatives from the Chamber of North West Macedonia, opinions were exchanged on the challenges and problems faced by the business community in view of the current economic and political developments, as well as on the need for greater involvement in the preparation of legal solutions that directly affect the business sector.
