The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, as part of his visit to Ankara, Republic of Türkiye, today met with the Minister of Trade of Turkey, Ömer Bolat.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Trade in Ankara, the trade and economic relations between Türkiye and North Macedonia were discussed, as well as the development and deepening of these relations.
The parties at this meeting also discussed the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, and an appeal was made to increase the investments.
At the meeting, Minister Durmishi informed that the Republic of Türkiye is among our most important trade partners and a country that continuously invests in the Macedonian economy in various sectors as a strategic investment partner.
"Trade data show that last year the Republic of Türkiye was ranked 7th on the list of countries with which the Republic of North Macedonia has the largest volume of trade. I hope that in the coming period this cooperation will further deepen", Minister Durmishi said at the meeting.
The two Ministers also discussed the greater participation of Turkish companies in Macedonian infrastructure and energy projects in order to increase the investments in North Macedonia.
