The Minister of Economy and Labor, Mr. Besar Durmishi, was on a working visit to the municipality of Zelino today. At a meeting with the Mayor of the municipality of Zelino, Mr. Blerim Sejdiu, they discussed the current economic situation, the Government's support for infrastructure projects in the municipalities, and the concrete support of the Ministry of Labor and Economy to businesses and citizens.
Together with Mr. Sejdiu, Minister Durmishi visited several successful businesses in Zelino.
The Minister explained that through the Law on Investment Support and other institutional instruments, we are creating better conditions for development, expanding capacities and creating new jobs.
Also, through the Operational Plan for 2025, among other measures, self-employment of thousands of citizens was enabled.
In Zelino alone, around 20 grants have been awarded to citizens and businesses, including self-employment, wage subsidies and other active measures. This shows that the measures do not remain only on paper, but reach people and companies on the ground.
This historic success will continue and be further expanded with the Operational Plan for Employment for 2026, which foresees around EUR40 million to support self-employment and other active employment measures.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor will continue to be close to businesses and citizens, with active measures and policies that guarantee the improvement of well-being, the economic climate and development.
