The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, together with the Mayor of the municipality of Tetovo, Bilall Kasami, visited the Technological Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) in Tetovo, during which they had a meeting with the representatives of NORMAK and the company Kiel Macedonia. Within the framework of the visit, the Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi together with the Mayor of the municipality Bilal Kasami, the Director of the Regional Development Bureau as well as the Director of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion visited the factory Kiel, and handed over to the management of the company the permit for work in the industrial zone in Tetovo.
With this permit, the company Kiel Macedonia begins work in the new factory located in the Tetovo region.
Kiel Macedonia is a leading manufacturer of seats for trains and buses. In the new production facility in Tetovo, which covers an area of 7500 square meters, it is planned to create 300 new working positions in the Polog region.

The new investment in TIDZ Tetovo in a new modern facility, according to the needs of customers and the industry, is estimated at EUR9 million. The factory in TIDZ Tetovo currently employs 40 people, while the total number of employees in the two factories of Kiel Macedonia in Tetovo is 170.
The Group through Kiel Macedonia plans to expand in the new facility, in addition to increasing production, in the area of welding of metal structures, production of foam and paint, which will complete the production of seats for trains, while the Republic of North Macedonia is planned to be the center of the operations.
Minister Durmishi said to the media:
"I would like to congratulate the management of Kiel Macedonia that in a short time they invested and built a new factory in Tetovo which will bring new technologies, new jobs and of course foreign currency inflow to the country. The Ministry of Economy and Labor and I, as a Minister, will work intensively on improving the business climate in the country in the coming period. We have already started with the changes in the Law on Financial Support of Investments, with which we wish to enable a more transparent model for granting state financial support, for all companies that invest, employ, grow and develop."
