Skopje, 09.06.2025

The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, together with the Director of the Employment Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia, Selajdin Beluli, today officially announced the launch of the public call for Measure 1.1 and Measure 1.2 within the framework of the Operational Employment Plan for 2025, which aim to support the self-employment of unemployed citizens registered with the Employment Agency.

Measure 1.1 is intended for people over 29 years of age and provides financial support of MKD430.500 or EUR7.000 for starting a new business, and Measure 1.2 applies to young people up to 29 years of age, who have the opportunity to receive support of up to MKD615.000 or EUR10.000 for starting their own business.

Both measures also include entrepreneurship training, business plan preparation and mentoring for a 6-month period for target groups, including people with disabilities, members of the Roma community and women from rural areas.

"These measures are not just financial assistance, but are direct investment in the potential of citizens and in the development of the local economy," Minister Durmishi emphasized at the press conference. Through this commitment, the Ministry of Economy and Labor confirms its commitment to building an inclusive labor market and empowering the individual as a key factor in the country's economic development.
