The Minister of Economy and Labor Durmishi awarded decisions for financial support for the introduction of ISO and HALAL standards to 14 domestic companies

The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, issued the decisions for the payment of funds to small and medium-sized enterprises for the introduction of ISO standards and the certification of the HALAL system based on the published public calls for measures from the Program for the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises for 2024. 

 

This year, the Ministry of Economy and Labor, within the framework of the Program for the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises for 2024, realized: 

  • MEASURE 4 - Reimbursement of part of the costs of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the certification of quality systems according to ISO standards, namely 40% of the proven costs, but not more than MKD 200.000 individually for each applicant. 
  • MEASURE 5 - Reimbursement of part of the costs of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the certification of the HALAL system, through co-financing of 40% of the proven costs, but not more than MKD 200.000 individually for each applicant. 

For the implementation of these measures, the Ministry of Economy and Labor announced Public Calls in which the conditions for participation and the necessary documents for application were defined. 

 

The two Public Calls were published simultaneously on 19.07.2024 on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Labor and lasted until 01.10.2024.

 

Funds in the amount of MKD2.000.000 are provided for each of these measures. 

 

As of October 1, 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Labor received 9 (nine) requests from applicants for co-financing certification according to ISO standards and 14 (fourteen) requests from applicants for co-financing certification of the HALAL system. 

 

From the reviewed 9 (nine) requests, the Commission concluded that 1 (one) does not meet the conditions for participation determined by the Public Call for ISO, and for the remaining 8 (eight) it decided to approve reimbursement of part of the costs for certification, according to the submitted documentation, in a total amount of MKD463.961. 

 

Of the reviewed 14 (fourteen) requests, the Commission found that 9 (nine) do not meet the conditions for participation determined by the Public Call for HALAL, and for the remaining 5 (five) it decided to approve reimbursement of part of the certification costs, according to the submitted documentation, in a total amount of MKD445260.
