The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, held meeting today with the new Ambassador of the European Union to the country, Michalis Rokas.
Minister Durmishi welcomed European Ambassador Rokas and wished him successful mandate.
"Cooperation with the European Union and the implementation of economic reforms are one of the most important priorities of the Ministry of Economy and Labor", Minister Durmishi emphasized at the meeting and added that as a Minister he will be fully engaged in the implementation of the competencies in the Reform Agenda.
The main goal of the Reform Agenda is the strengthened implementation of reforms by accelerating the alignment of our public sector with the values, laws, rules, standards, policies and practices of the public sector of the Union, ensuring its transparent management, developing a competitive and green economy and supporting the accession process.
The two interlocutors discussed that these meetings are essential for strengthening of our cooperation and encouragement of the reforms that help us meet EU standards and expectations.
At the meeting, the Minister emphasized that the EU is our important partner and thanked the EU for its continuous support to the country and expressed hope that it will continue in the future, in the direction of achieving our goal - full integration into the EU.
