Today, the Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, had a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, Ms. Rossana Dudziak
The UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia, Ms. Rossana Dudziak informed about the activities of the United Nations in the Republic of North Macedonia and their cooperation with the Ministries, especially in relation to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She paid special attention to activities in the field of entrepreneurship, employment with a focus on vulnerable groups, favorable business climate and economic-social dialogue, and expressed desire to deepen the cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Labor in the coming period.
As Minister Durmishi pointed out, this meeting represents excellent opportunity to exchange information and ideas on how to deepen the cooperation between the Office of the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in North Macedonia, the UN Agencies and the Ministry of Economy and Labor.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the UN Agencies in the country for the activities they conduct in the area of the labor market, support of entrepreneurship, employment, balanced and regional development, good governance, social inclusion, environmental protection.
The two interlocutors agreed that in the coming period the fruitful cooperation of the Ministry of Economy and Labor with the Office of the Resident Coordinator of the UN and with the UN Agencies in the country should be continued and improved, but also to ensure inter-sectoral coordination and cooperation for the complex issues of the labor market.
