The Ministry of Economy and Labor strengthens support: Women's Entrepreneurship Awards 2025 awarded

On the occasion of the International Women's Entrepreneurship Day, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Labor Jumni Ademi participated in the event "Choice of a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year", at which awards were presented to the most successful micro, small and medium-sized companies owned and managed by women.

The Ministry of Economy and Labor is the institutional sponsor of the event, which is being implemented in cooperation with the National Platform for Women's Entrepreneurship, in accordance with the signed Memorandum of Cooperation. The event is held as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week.

In his address, the State Secretary highlighted the activities and measures that the Ministry is implementing to economically empower women and increase their involvement in economic policy-making. Through these measures, significant progress has been achieved – the number of women-owned companies that have achieved positive results has increased from 73 in 2022 to 83 in 2024, an increase of 13.7%.

Additionally, he recalled that in the new SME Strategy 2025–2030, adopted in August 2025, within the framework of Strategic Goal 1 - Competitive National Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, a special place is given to measures for the promotion and advancement of female entrepreneurship, as well as the preparation of a Roadmap for Female Entrepreneurship.

The Ministry of Economy and Labor will continue to work in the future to create even better conditions for the development of companies founded and managed by women, with the aim of their active participation in economic growth and development.

The election for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year is conducted through a selection of the most successful enterprises managed by women, based on official data from the final accounts for the last three years, which the Ministry provides from the Central Registry.

The 2025 awards were presented in three categories:

-Micro Enterprise: Mobi City Premium

-Small Enterprise: PIEM Design

-Medium Enterprise: Soko Gorica

The Ministry congratulates the winners and continues its commitment to the development and support of female entrepreneurship.
