The Ministry of Economy and Labor, in its role as coordinator of employment measures, in partnership with the Government, the Employment Agency, the Ministry of Education and Science, INOVA and the United Nations Development Program, organized the first consultative workshop for the design and planning of the new Operational Plan of Active Measures and Programs for Employment and Labor Market Services for 2026.
The workshop featured a dynamic discussion and presentation of current measures, as well as new proposals for the work activation of unemployed persons on the domestic labor market. Special focus was placed on the activation of young people on the labor market, with the aim of retaining them in the country through attractive mechanisms for opening their own business, opportunities for training and (re/up)qualification through the Regional Centers for Vocational Training and Education, as well as internships.
The workshop also highlighted the support for green transformation in small and medium-sized enterprises through the introduction of green investments and new working positions, as well as the creation of sustainable and quality working positions.
All partners remain committed to the common goal of building an inclusive, dynamic and sustainable labor market, which will enable better employment opportunities, support vulnerable groups and stimulate economic growth.
This workshop represents an important step towards creating effective policies and measures that will contribute to more successful integration of the workforce and increased competitiveness of the national economy in 2026.
