Therefore, let us accept it not only as an obligation, but also as an opportunity for economic development, new investments and new jobs. As the Ministry of Economy and Labor, we are strongly committed to the process of green transition, or rather transition to a green economy, which is a system which priorities are environmental sustainability, social justice and economic growth, which implies growth that will meet the needs of the present without endangering future generations” - said Deputy Minister Risteski.
In his address, Risteski referred to the activities of the Government and the Ministry of Economy and Labor through which the process of the green transition of domestic companies and the creation of green jobs is promoted and supported.
- “Within the framework of the Operational Plan for Employment, through the measure "Support for the creation of new jobs through green investments", we provide support to domestic companies that invest in green technologies and practices with the aim of creating new jobs. With this, we encourage the creation of new jobs in the private sector by introducing green products, services, technologies or processes in enterprises, and in the four years since we have been implementing it together with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), it has resulted in around 400 new green jobs in 228 companies” - added Risteski.
