The Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor, Marjan Risteski, today met with a delegation from the Republic of Austria, consisting of Harald Breza-Fugger, Attaché for Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection at the Austrian Embassy in Skopje, Petra Draxl, Director of the Austrian Employment Agency, Jörg Myrtl from the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health Care and Consumer Protection and Judith Marte-Huanig from the Austrian Employment Agency.
At the meeting was discussed the deepening of cooperation between the two countries, the relevant Ministries and employment agencies in the field of labor, with a special focus on the green economy, the green transition of companies and the creation of new green jobs in Macedonia.
Within the frames of the visit was also discussed the holding of a workshop on the topic "Creating Green Jobs in Macedonia" which will be held in Skopje on 12 and 13 November and will focus on creating green jobs in the field of waste management, in national parks, in rural areas and in the development of sustainable tourism. The two-day workshop is scheduled to include presentations, plenary sessions and panel discussions, in which experts from Austria and representatives of stakeholders - Ministries, municipalities, agencies, national parks, civil society organizations and associations - will participate.
