Pursuant to the Program for Support of the Domestic Tourism for Low-Income Workers in 2024, the awarding of vacation vouchers for low-income workers begins today, Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi announced.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor published the list of persons who applied and were awarded vouchers according to the Public Call launched at the beginning of the year.
"The decisions for the citizens who applied, fulfilled the conditions according to the Public Call, have been signed, according to the principle of first come first served. Vacation vouchers for workers with low incomes in the domestic tourist facilities worth MKD18.000 will be given to 1.777 persons," said Minister Durmishi.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor will issue vouchers-certificates for low-income workers until the funds provided by the Domestic Tourism Support Program for low-income workers are exhausted in 2024.
The main objective of this measure is to enable people with low incomes to be able to visit domestic tourism centers and at the same time to help domestic tourism facilities to increase the volume of work outside the tourist season.
After the rebalancing of the budget, a total of MKD32 million have been provided for this measure for 1777 vouchers-certificates for people with low incomes who will be able to use them in one of the tourist centers in our country.
These vouchers can be used from September 15 to December 1 in any of the accommodation facilities registered with the Ministry of Economy and Labor. You can find the list of hotels and winners on the MER website.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor continues to support companies, citizens and tourist centers in the country, and transparency will be primary for us.
