Today in Struga, the Ministry of Economy and Labor and the Employment Agency held the public presentation of the Operational Plan for Employment 2025. The event attracted great interest among citizens, businesses and local institutions, and the main focus was on measures that directly boost employment and stimulate the economy.
The presentation was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Labor, Mr. Besar Durmishi, who said that the Government is investing in citizens – their ideas, capacities and ambitions.
"We do not make empty promises, but we offer concrete measures, funds and support. The operational plan is a tool for anyone who wants to start, retrain or get a job. The goal is clear – to create opportunities here, at home," stressed Minister Durmishi.
The 2025 plan envisages investment of EUR40 million, designated for more than 10.000 citizens, and the response so far shows that the measures are already having the desired effect.
The internship measure ensures the inclusion of 1.352 young people up to 29 years of age, 40 of whom through online internships. Each participant will receive a monthly allowance of MKD12.000 for a period of three months.
Subsidized employment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises already has over 2,.000 applications - proof of the high interest of the private sector to participate in creating new jobs.
The financial support for starting own business has been successfully closed with over 6.000 applications, and the selection of beneficiaries is ongoing.
Measure 3.1 – Training with a known employer remains one of the most effective tools for employment, directly connecting citizens with companies seeking staff.
"These numbers are not just statistics – behind each application there is a story, hope and a decision to take a step forward. Our task is to support that decision with real tools," added Minister Durmishi.
The event in Struga is part of a broader outreach campaign, with the Ministry and the Employment Agency presenting the measures directly to citizens. Presentations will follow in Gostivar, Kicevo, Saraj, Lipkovo and other municipalities with high unemployment rates.
