Kumanovo, 12.07.2025
The Minister of Economy and Labor, Mr. Besar Durmishi, attended the public presentation of the Operational Plan for Employment 2025 in Kumanovo last night, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Labor and the Employment Agency. The event attracted the attention of numerous citizens, young people, companies and representatives of local institutions, who showed serious interest in the state support for employment and economic progress.
"We are not offering declarative promises, but concrete tools for change. We are investing EUR40 million in active measures that should help citizens stay here, progress and realize their potential," Minister Durmishi emphasized.
The 2025 plan envisages an investment of EUR40 million, aimed for more than 10.000 citizens, and the response so far shows that the measures are already having the desired effect.
In Kumanovo, were promoted the two currently open measures:
Measure 5 – Internship, with a public announcement lasting from 1 to 31 July 2025, intended for legal entities and individuals. Through this measure, 1.352 young people up to 29 years of age will gain practical experience, with a monthly remuneration of MKD12 000 for a period of three months.
Measure 3.1 - On-the-job training with a well-known employer, with public call that runs until November 30, 2025, which allows for direct connection of citizens with companies that are actually looking for personnel.
Additionally, the Minister recalled the already completed measures from the plan:
- Subsidized employment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, with over 2 000 applications, which shows great interest and trust on the part of the business community.
- Financial support for starting your own business has already been closed with over 6 000 applications, and the selection of beneficiaries is underway.
"These numbers are proof that citizens recognize when the state seriously invests in them. Behind every application is an idea and hope, and it is our duty to support those decisions with concrete support," said Durmishi.
The event in Kumanovo is part of a broader outreach campaign by the Ministry and the Employment Agency in municipalities with high unemployment rates. The goal is clear - for the measures to reach every citizen, directly and efficiently.
