The Minister of Economy and Labor, Besar Durmishi, within the framework of his official visit to Pristina, Republic of Kosovo, today had a meeting with the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari.
The main topic of the meeting between the two Ministers was the deepening of the cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Durmishi emphasized that the focus of the Ministry of Economy and Labor will now be the creation of specific measures and policies to increase the competitiveness of domestic companies not only on the Macedonian market, but also in the region.
The Minister emphasized at the meeting that the promotion of regional cooperation is the top priority of the Government, with the main goal of improving the standard of living of the citizens in North Macedonia and in the region.
Of exceptional importance for the countries of the Western Balkans, as the Minister emphasized, is to create common measures aimed at improving the business climate and competitiveness of the common European market.
Minister Durmishi noted at the meeting with Minister Hajdari that through the "Berlin Process", in which the countries of the Western Balkans participate, serious steps have been taken to advance the dialogue between the Governments, but also the representatives of the business community.
The reforms that will bring all the countries of the Western Balkans closer to membership in the European Union have begun.
Kosovo is an important trade partner of the Republic of North Macedonia. According to the volume of trade, Kosovo is always in the top twenty largest trading partners, with which the Republic of North Macedonia realizes the largest volume of trade, while in exports it is always in the first five largest trading partners.
The two Ministers concluded that the economic cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo, as two neighboring and friendly countries, has a serious potential to deepen even more.
