Deputy Minister Risteski visited the Scientific Center for Circular Economy and Materials Testing Laboratory at the "Goce Delchev" University in Shtip

Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor, Marjan Risteski, together with the Rector of the University "Goce Delchev" Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski and the President of the Center for Circular Economy at the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia Marija Dukovska-Pavlovska today visited the Scientific Center for Circular Economy and the Materials Testing Laboratory within the University "Goce Delchev" in Shtip.

Within the framework of the project "Circular and Green Economy Based on Cooperation, Science and Business ", with financial support from the Ministry, the Scientific Center for Circular Economy was created at the University and a modern laboratory for materials testing was equipped and made available to the scientific and business community.

- “The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Economy and Labor are strongly committed to supporting the business sector to increase its competitiveness, growth and development, and one of the key factors in this process is the establishment of cooperation and partnership with science. This cooperation enables the transfer of knowledge, technologies, joint research and innovation. The business sector is currently facing numerous challenges on the global market, continuous demands for green and digital transition, greater productivity, cost reduction... and through cooperation with the educational sector and academia and using the services of laboratories and scientific centers, it can realize this in an easier and faster way”, said Deputy Minister Risteski.

The leading partner of the project is UGD - Shtip, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia and the company "Bonives" that worked on the project, and for the implementation of this project, the Ministry allocated MKD3.250.000, or 74.46% of the total value of the project.

In direction of bringing business and science closer together in order to increase the competitiveness, growth and development of domestic companies, the Ministry of Economy and Labor provides great support in these processes.

The Ministry of Economy and Labor, through the Work Programs, allocates financial resources each year to support accreditation, re-accreditation and procurement of equipment for laboratories, with the aim of increasing services to the business sector.

Another novelty is the opportunities arising from the adoption of the Law on Financial Support for Investments, which will come under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy and Labor from next year. There are a large number of opportunities for financial support for companies to invest in research and scientific organizational forms and centers or projects with the aim of acquiring new knowledge and skills for the development of new products, production processes and services, as well as significantly improving existing products, production processes and services in the manufacturing activities.
