Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor, Marjan Risteski, today visited the factory of the company "Makprogres" from Vinica, where a large fire broke out in the factory's plants and warehouses on Saturday.
The fire caused extensive damage and destroyed part of the property, equipment and capital of the factory, which is one of the largest production facilities in Macedonia.
At the meeting with the Executive Director of "Makprogres" Gligor Cvetanov, Deputy Minister Risteski said that the state will do everything in its power to help the survival and recovery of the company. Cvetanov emphasized at the meeting that the company suffered serious damage from the fires, but that none of the employees from their facilities will be left without a job or salary.
Risteski supported the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce for a campaign to increase sales of this company's products and called on all citizens to join this and all other initiatives to support the company by purchasing products that are part of the company "Makprogres".
- We must support domestic production and such actions and appeals from Chambers and the public on social networks have once again shown the solidarity of our citizens who know how to unite and help when it is most difficult. I call on all citizens to help this company survive, to buy products from the "Makprogres" brands, thereby helping the company and its employees - said Deputy Minister Risteski.
"Makprogres" from Vinica was founded 35 years ago with more than 500 employees. The company is one of the largest companies in the confectionery and baking industry, which exports 75 percent of its production to 45 countries around the world.
