Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor, Marjan Risteski, participated in a panel discussion as part of the Women's Entrepreneurship Fair EXPO 2025 Skopje, organized by UN Women.
The panel discussion with the working title "Shaping the Future of Women-Led Businesses Together", in addition to Risteski, was also attended by Ben Nupnau - Deputy Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union, Vesna Ivanovic-Castarde - Head of the UN Women office in Macedonia and Valentina Disoska - President of the Association of Business Women of Macedonia.
At the panel, the interlocutors discussed the situation with female entrepreneurship in North Macedonia, the development of women-led companies, and overcoming the administrative barriers they face in their operations.
In his address, Risteski referred to the activities of the Government and the Ministry of Economy and Labor through which the improvement of the financial inclusion of women in the economic sphere is promoted and supported, primarily in increasing access to sources of financing for starting and expanding businesses, as this creates opportunities for greater entrepreneurship, investment and active participation in the economy. He appealed to those present to follow the public calls and active measures of the Ministries intended for female entrepreneurs, to apply and take advantage of the benefits offered by the Government of North Macedonia.
The Ministry of Economy and Labor will continue to support and create policies, measures and activities that will contribute to the advancement and promotion of women's financial inclusion, as part of broader efforts to create sustainable and inclusive economic development.
The Women's Entrepreneurship Fair EXPO 2025 is organized by UN Women in North Macedonia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and is funded by the European Union's program "EU for Gender Equality: Women's Economic Empowerment and Ending Violence against Women" (EU4GE).
